I once had a kitten abandoned under the deck and couldn’t get it out; She just meowed but was too afraid to come out. My dog was standing at my door waiting for me to let him out to relieve himself, so I thought I would come back later and try to get the kitten out, but as soon as my big dog left, the kitten came out immediately and ran straight to my dog, claiming to be his mother, and I found myself with a new kitten.
